"Our resident alien, Kyle Woyshnis, added the Mollala Pacific Coast Freestyle Championships and IMAC Challenge to his growing list of first place victories! Kyle won the FREE and also the Advanced class in IMAC. The kid is so smooth and in control! Time seems to be very much slowed down for him while he is flying... he is just amazingly at one with the plane. With a level playing field I don't know who could beat this kid.

Kevin Miller, who I met up there for the first time and have added to my short list of "all world" human beings, won the Unlimited IMAC class with ease and was a very close second to Kyle in the FREE. Kevin was the overall Champion for the event. I can't say enough about what a delightful guy Kevin is... he called for me in IMAC and got me through the unknowns without a zero... he's encouraging, upbeat, cheerful, gracious... attributes that are rarely seen anywhere... just a first class guy and a role model for everyone.

This event exists because of a man named Grant Sharp... and struck me as the most overlooked goldmine event in the hobby. Grant has alot going for him, and just gives so much back though this event. To say Grant sponsors the event would be an understatement. He first developed the field on his own property, then created the event, CDs, announces at the event with his rodeo/auctioneer announcer honed voice, puts up the $4000 prize money out of his pocket (of which I bagged $600 ) and lays out the best spread of food you could imagine. For us, Grant stood over the hot fire flipping steaks until there was no hair left on the back of his fingers! A prince of a man, for sure!

Granted (no pun intended ), he doesn’t put on this event single handed. Bob, and all the other guys helping to run the event were some hard working, earnest, and good ol’ boys, themselves. The girls running the scoring system were a couple of sharp cookies that always had things together, as well. The event is so well run, and is in such a nice location, with such great people participating and competing, that I encourage everyone to put this event on your calendar for next year. The big boys should show up for the prize money and the deep field of competitors that already exist... and everyone else should show up for a first class event, first class people, and the just terrifically fun atmosphere... oh, and the food!!!

I want to say, too, that I made many, many, new friends up there and hope to stay in touch with all of them. What a great group of guys! One for all and all for one, just like Ukiah, the way it should be!"

"I forgot to mention the guys from Fromeco! It was great to finally meet Kurt and Mike in person! And, I want to thank Kurt for doing a great job calling for me in the FREE, trying to keep me as relaxed as possible and any time I didn't know what to do with the music he would say, "slam a wall to waterfall, dude!"

"I think this is the best event there is... everyone really needs to plan to come out next year!"

"I think that was THE best week at a contest EVER!! I think we should get more people there next year! Great time was had by all.

Great campfire (lamp) games like "elephant" untill midnight, everynight. And then running around throwing glowsticks 'til 3:00AM, then sleeping out on the Runway in a chair, then getting up at 7:00Am to go fly!! Can't forget Great food, nice swimming hole for when it got too hot, and plenty of people to chat with while passing the time. I don't think there is a better event going!!

Joe was smoking up the runway with probably the best looking plane at the event. *caugh* "should have won peoples choice" *caugh caugh* and was kind enough to take me out to dinner one night. Thanks!!

Kevin and the guys from Fromeco all scrambled to help me get my plane going right before the Free. Couldnt have flone without them.

I was Really happy with my flying this weekend... I think it's the best i'v done in a long time, i'm not sure where it came from, but i sure am happy it showed up. Although i think Kevin Killed me with his Last Two Freestyles!! He's

Once again, Everyone needs to come next year! it's great!

PS: Joe, did you get any good video?"
